Rooted in Service, Ready for Business

Rooted in Service, Ready for Business

During National Veterans Small Business Week, we honor Marine and veteran business owners who continue to serve by building businesses, creating jobs, and strengthening communities.

Entrepreneurship allows veterans to channel leadership, problem-solving, and adaptability into ventures that provide financial independence, renewed purpose, and continued service—values deeply rooted in military life.

The Transition Readiness Program (TRP) equips aspiring veteran entrepreneurs with tools to turn ideas into thriving businesses, including:

  • Boots to Business 2-Day Track: In partnership with the U.S. Small Business Administration, this workshop covers business planning, funding, and operations.
  • SkillBridge: Gain hands-on industry experience aligned with business goals while still on active duty.
  • Career Counseling: Receive personalized guidance on resources, funding, and business strategies.

Veterans excel in business thanks to qualities like leadership, strategic planning, adaptability, and teamwork. If entrepreneurship is part of the next chapter, start early—connect with TRP, explore Small Business Association (SBA) programs, and leverage Veteran Business Outreach Center resources.

As we celebrate National Veterans Small Business Week, remember service doesn’t end when the uniform comes off—it evolves. Through providing jobs, creating innovative solutions, and strengthening communities, your mission continues.

Take the Next Step

Connect with the Transition Readiness Program, explore SBA resources, and tap into Veteran Business Outreach Centers to turn ideas into thriving businesses and continue your mission of service.
