Congratulations to all Runners of the 48th Marine Corps Marathon
More than 23,000 runners from all 50 states, D.C., Puerto Rico and 63 countries were registered to run in the 48th Marine Corps Marathon in Washington, D.C., on Oct. 29.
Julius Kogo of Durham, N.C., crossed the finish line first with a run time of 2:25:56. Bonnie Keating of Fairfax, Va., won the women’s marathon with a race time of 2:50:49.
The Marine Corps finished in fourth place for the men and third place for the women in the 2023 Armed Forces Marathon Championship. Capt. Mollie Geyer, who is stationed at Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, finished third individually for the Armed Forces competition with a time of 3:05:48.
